Permeability Tests

The Permeability Tests is used to determine penetration depth of drilling fluids. Put 180 ml sand (particle size is between 20 ~ 40 mesh) on filter screen in transparent cylinder drilling fluids cup with no filter paper. Pour 250ml drilling fluids in it and fasten upper cup cover. Put through gas source and adjust pressure to 0.69MPa. Open air release valve and let gas into drilling fluids cup, then begin to measure. It has a filter area of 18cm2. Pressure is provided by gas that passes by adjustor. Observe penetration depth of drilling fluids through transparent cylinder body. It is widely used in oil field, geologic exploration and laboratory to analyze and determine drilling fluids.
